“We don’t know what we’re doing”

…But that’s okay! We’re here for you every step of the way.

    • Schedule a consultation with Caroline Captures to discuss your vision & potential timelines. See our sample timelines here!

    • Let us know when you’re ready to book, and we’ll send with a contract & invoice. A 25% retainer is required to hold your date.

    • Schedule your engagement session!

    • Receive your engagement photos within 2-3 weeks.

    • We’ll have a second consultation 1-2 weeks before the wedding.

    • On the wedding day, we’ll arrive at the venue a bit earlier than our start time, and stay until our agreed upon end time.

    • Expect your digital album in 4-6 weeks.

    • If your package includes a USB or an album, please expect these within 2-3 additional weeks.

    • Expect to do some posing! We love candid shots but for certain things, like ring shots, certain portraits (especially during getting ready) we’ll need time to pose you.

    • Choose a getting ready location with lots of natural light. We have tools to add light to the room, but natural almost always has best results.

    • Bring meaningful things to your getting ready location - I’m talking heirlooms, photos, jewelry. We love detail shots!

    • We like to build at least 30— 45 minutes minutes into the day to photograph just the Bride & Groom.

    • We can also plan multiple times to step away for portraits - perhaps we do 20 minutes after the ceremony, and then step away once it’s dark for some creative night time photos with strobe lights. We’re open to anything!

    • If your date looks rainy - we have two clear umbrellas that the Bride & Groom can use, no need to buy! We never shy away from a little rain, it can add so much to your photos!

    • Let us know which editing style you prefer. We generally have what I’d consider a delicate-moody style. It isn’t too dark, but enough to feel a bit dramatic. We’re happy to accommodate whatever your vision is, though!

    • Please request your guests keep cell phone out of the aisle during your ceremony. We’ll have plenty of photos for them to see after!

    • Ensure that no one else is using flash photography at your wedding - a flash at the wrong time can ruin a beautiful image.

    • We have families too, we know there are sometimes sensitive subjects and dynamics. Please let us know of anything that might affect how we do our job.

    • We do our best to photograph everyone at your wedding, but if there is a special person or couple in particular that you’d like us to focus in on, please let us know.

    • Please let us know if there is anything that makes you self-conscious, we’ll try to avoid it best we can.

  • Items to Bring:
